Que viva España

Aku curi dari sini

The Spaniards emerged to become victorious tadi subuh. :p

I still think it's kaluk. It's supposed to be the Netherlands. *grrr* Just because of 1 unlucky loss.. Ceh!

I stayed up to watch the finals with my sister, Bgirl. But I only managed to watch the 1st half.. Baik jua wah.. The only goal was scored by Torres in the 33rd minute.. :)

Congrats España~ *nda ikhlas*

Hehe Anyways, I just want to say WELCOME BACK TO CIVILISATION to Cath~ (As I said to Syidah) :D How was your trip? Can't wait for your stories and pictures!! ;)

And btw, I miss you too!!

Chasing fireflies

Not really excited about the Euro.. :d

Anyway, had a chat with Hanie last night. She's busy with family stuffs..and Cath's somewhere in the jungle.. So, it looks like I'm the only one left. *sigh*

Been feeling sick lately.. Most probably because I'm sick. Huh.. I can imagine Hanie lecturing me about taking vitamins and supplements.. Ceh :p Had a swim last week..and it was raining.. My fault really.. *cough* :p

Hmm.. Made of Honor is already playing in the cinemas.. :d

Sigh.. Need to sleep now.. I woke up at 5-ish a.m. tadi.. Crazy~

Take care y'all~

Igo!!

Greetings~

Finally, UBD's exam results are out. Received my result via sms at around 11 a.m. I passed~ The grades are not good, but, I'm ok really.. Not much effort been done to ace the exams.. So, I don't have high expectations.. Hehe :) I asked Amai to check my grade and she also told me that most of my class got Ds.. And I got a D+ for my average grade. Huhu :p

Anyway, just wanna talk about Igo (囲碁) or Go (). In Korean it's called baduk (바둑) and in chinese, it's wéiqí (圍棋; 围棋). It's an ancient board game originated from China (Wikipedia, 2008). Whoa!! I just knew that! Hehe :) I thought it's a pure Japanese game.. Hehe Why? Because I watched Hikaru No Go.. It's an anime about playing Go with a ghost. Hahaha Sounds weird when I say it like that.. :p I don't really know about game though, but my siblings tried learning to play the game.. especially via the internet.

My sister, Gdah, joined the Go Club in Maktab Duli. And just before the school holidays, she told me about this Igo tournament - the first Igo Youth League. How cool is that?? Hehe :) The tournament is held from 17th til 24th June 2008. It's organised by the Igo Society and the CHMS Alumni Association Weiqi Society. The participants are to play in teams of four.. The champion will get cash prize of $150, and medals for top 3 teams. The others will receive certificates for participation. :) And I think, it's open to public if anyone's interested to see them play. The venue is in the multipurpose hall 3rd floor of CHMS Alumni Association, and time: 10 30 - 18 00.

Want pictures? :D

My sister's board - she lost against her senior :p

Walaupun kalah, tetap senyum~ That's Gdah there.. Huhu

The one in purple is the founder of the Go Club and Igo Society in Brunei. Props to him~ :)

Practice session..

Finito~ :)

Goodbye France~

Alas~ Italy won~ Kesian jua France atu eh.. But Holland won against Romania~ I'm happy as long as the Netherlands win. Hahaha I know someone is ecstatic about the defeat of France. Italy is thus qualified to play in the quarter finals.. which will be against Spain.. Viva Espana!! Hehe :D

Now, I'm off to help my sisters to paint their room. ;)

Hallows of the Death

Hey everyone~

Been away from the blogging world for a couple of days now.. Sorry for that~ ;)

I was planning to have an early night tonight.. But as you can see, I'm still wide awake. I started re-reading Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows this morning and couldn't put it down. I just finished it btw. It felt like reading it for the first time. I was in tears for how many times tonight! Hahahaha :p

Anyway, Cath & Syidah were off to their 2 weeks trip yesterday. Syidah sent me an sms yesterday telling me that she would be meeting up with Howie, our high school friend, there. I know Howie is excited to see her. The last time we met was last year I think.. Syidah was busy with Patoi volunteering work and hence, missed out our small reunion with Howie. Hmm.. Well, have a good trip you two!! And come back safely, yeah! Do you have internet access in the forest Cath?? Hehe

Ohh btw Hanie, sorry about the night before.. When you wanted to chat on msn with Cath.. My brother came home at around midnight and thus, I couldn't go online because of the absence of my laptop. :p What are you up to anyway? Busy with the wedding preparations? :)

Been busy juggling with the many different tv series which I haven't watch yet. One Tree Hill season 1 finished. How I Met Your Mother season 3 finished. The rest? Still watching 'em.. Hehe

Now I'm thinking whether to sleep or stay up to wait for the Euro match later.. Not a huge football fan, but a fan nonetheless.. :) Hmm.. Lets take a few hours sleep and then I can yell alone infront of the tv.. Hahaha :p Alone, because none of my siblings are keen on watching the Euro matches live~ Such great football enthusiasts eh? Hehe

Sleep tight, and dream about France defeating Italy.. Hahaha :D

I'm leaving...

Hello everyone 大家好...

Sorry 对不起 for my missing in action for the past two days 这两天不见了. I've been busy doing last minute shopping 忙着买东西 (and my wallet has successful loss a lot of its weigh 皮包大出血 *sniff* hehehe...). And I've just finished 90% of my packing which needs to be within a 12kg limit. How do you pack for two weeks in the middle of the jungle within a 12kg limit?!

Arggh!! I'm so excited 我好紧张哦! I'll be in a different country code tomorrow 明天要出国了! Hahaha... I sound so pathetic, humor me k because I very very very seldom go out of Brunei. And this is going to be further than the usual Limbang, Miri or Labuan. I'm so excited! I pray everything will be okay and this expedition will go smoothly as planned 希望事事顺利. I do hope I can sleep tonight because I need to wake up so early tomorrow morning 明天要早起.

I'll be missing you guys a whole lot 我会好想念你们! But no worries, I'll be back with lots of pics I promise. (*cough* new memory stick for the camera bah...hehehe...) Will be back in two weeks time.

P.S: Hanie and Meha, sorry nda tebawa jalan. Gonna miss you girls to bits! *hugs* *more hugs*

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安... Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

只要肯用心去想,用心去修,用心去做,就没有不能成功的事。
(Willing to think, cultivate ourselves and take mindful action, there is nothing we cannot achieve.)

Woohoo~ Milestone reached!

Hello everyone 大家好...

This is gonna be a short post because I'm so tired 好累哦! Or is it because I want to get back to 'Diner Dash Hometown Hero'...? (hehehe...) I've recently played two new games 两个新游戏 'Burger Shop' (thanks to Siokngi's recommendation 谢谢你) and 'Jane's Hotel'. 'Burger Shop' is so cool 超好玩的耶! High tech gadgets making fries, ice creams, soda, burgers and so on, totally no contamination from the human hand 没细菌耶! No E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus! Amazing huh! 'Jane's Hotel' is also another sweet game but I'm just gonna rate it average. It just doesn't have this attraction 没有吸引感, don't know why 不知为什么...

Ok ok I'm back on Earth from the game world 我回来了(hehehe...) I reached my milestone!! Yay! (sekadar...hahaha...) Went to the gym 去健身房 with my *ehem* at about 7:30pm, did some weight-lifting, did my usual jog/walk session and I reached 7.14km in an hour just now! Yay! Ok I know I'm being pathetic 很可笑吗 (hahaha...) Sorry about that 对不起啦, I just feel I've achieved something and it feels pretty good 我感觉好好耶.

I'm retreating to the warmth of my comforter 好想睡, oh my sweet bed, that is if I do not double-click the 'Diner Dash Hometown Hero' or the 'Burger Shop' icon (hahaha...) 但又好想玩游戏 Can I resist the temptation?

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安... Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

Time is running out!

Hi everyone 大家好...

I'm so tired 我好累哦! I'm so worn out! *yawn* I only had a few hours of sleep this morning 只睡几个小时而已. Went to UBD to pack the traps for the upcoming Lanjak-Entimau Scientific Expedition. It's only 4 days away 只剩下四天! *gasp* And I have not started packing yet 还没收拾东西! *sigh* And I still think I'm not physically fit enough for this *sniff* Hope I'll survive this expedition so I can spew more of my nonsense in this blog 希望还可以活着在这里写非话 (hahaha...).

Had a briefing and discussion with Dr. Charles and the rest of the team regarding the procedures of the upcoming Scientific Expedition at about 2pm. I do hope everything will go along as smoothly as planned 希望事事顺利. I mean putting it in paper may sounds easy. But you'll never know what can happen in the forest 但是什么都可以发生, and it is this essence of surprise that is so thrilling 但这惊喜瞒刺激的吗! *giddy*

Went to the gym 去健身房 quite late today at about 8pm with my *ehem* and his brother. I did my usual jog/walk for an hour but I reached 6.64km today. *Yay* (hahaha...emosi, nda jua brapa...) How pathetic can I be 我是不是很可笑? (hahaha...) Hope I'll reach my 7.0km in an hour milestone someday (hehe...) someday...

I'll stop here then, before I leash the b*tch in me because I'm so sleep-deprived! (hahaha...) I'll be going out with some of my other team member to get stuffs tomorrow morning
for the trip 明天早上要去买东西. Wanna crawl into my comforter now peeps 好想睡...

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安... Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

Serial watcher

안녕하세요~ Ahnyeong haseyo~ (Hello)

Been busy with all the TV series. And you know.. I get bored easily.. So, here are some series that I left unwatched because of something yang bagi sasak in the storyline, or I was so caught up with something that I forgot to continue watching it.. Hmm..

  1. Why Why Love (watched recently, but because of that Judy Qiu.. I got sick of her and stopped watching)
  2. Princess Hours (watched last semester but stopped in the last dvd.. I don't know why~)
  3. My Girl (watched this ages ago.. I forgot about it until today when my sister brought it out and watched the 'behind the scenes'..)
  4. Spring Waltz (I only managed to watch the first episode!!)

Right now I'm hooked onto One Tree Hill. Blame it on Hanie to have lend it to me. I'm still in the first season though. So, shhh!!

I want CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, How I Met Your Mother, House and Prison Break.. Apa lagi? *grrrr*

Hehe Since Hanie brought up the hot little actors.. I like Noah Gray-Cabey.. Nyeheheh.. Heroes' Micah~ Arah My Wife & Kids ia annoying.. Hahaha :p

He is so gonna be hot when he's older.. Kan?? :D

Good night people~

Wedding bells...

Hi everyone 大家好...

Wait a minute 等一等! Hold that thought! 'Wedding bells...' does not mean I'm getting married soon 不是我结婚啦 (hahaha...) That's not gonna happen very soon. Still a long long way to go 还有好久. I still want to enjoy my unmarried but attached life (hehehe...)

And why such title if I have no intention to get marry so soon? I woke up quite late this morning and when I was getting ready to go out 刚好要出门, I saw a blue card 蓝色卡片 on my car windshield. Hmm~ what could it be 是什么来的? It's a wedding invitation of a close friend! I can't believe she is getting married!! We were really close 好朋友 during our A levels in Maktab Duli where we first acquainted 第一次见面, but became distant because of the difference in courses we are taking in UBD. We did however shared some course during the 1st and 2nd semester in Maths and Geography. And who is she? Hajah Razinahtul Hasyimah whom I usually call Razi. Congratulations 恭喜你 and wishing you all the happiness in the world 祝你幸福快乐.

But sadly, her wedding day is on the 29th of June, the same day that I'll be back from Sibu 同一天. I hope I can make it to her wedding ceremony in time or probably I'll be attending for the night ceremony instead. Now I'm thinking what wedding gift to get for her 要送她什么... Hmm...

Went to the gym 健身房 quite late today because I couldn't stop myself from playing 'Magic Farm' (hehehe...). Did the usual jog/walk session for 6.45km today for an hour as well as sit-ups. Went home after that because it was near the peak hour and the gym was starting to pack up with people 越来越多人了. As I was just getting out of my car, my *ehem* 我的理想情人 arrived on my doorstep. We went for a jog (my 2nd jog session of the day) around the Jerudong area 又去跑步. It felt good 感觉很好 jogging around nature and of course with the special one beside you *blush*...

I think I'll stop here. I have to wake up early tomorrow 明天要早起 because I'll be going to UBD to pack the things for the upcoming Scientific Expedition. Uggh~

P.S: Hanie, bila free jalan ah? Let me know k.

Happy BIRTHDAYSSS to my abang & my sis--in law!

My brother & his wife during their nikah two years ago

Happy 32nd & 30th Birthday to my dearest brother, Talip & his wife, Julie!!

Yup, this lovely couple, both has the same birthday which is on the 9th June but in different year lah. So we had a last minute, small surprise celebration for them.

At first he told me that he couldn’t make it when I asked him to swing by at home for awhile because he had plans (biasalah celebrating birthday with his wife ;p). I was a bit frustrated because I wanted to surprise them with a birthday cake at least. But then, he did turn up last minute just now, as soon as they finished having their romantic dinner. My other in-laws and nieces & nephew were here too.

Chocolate mousse cake from Mum's bakery

I immediately took off to Mum’s bakery since it was nearest to my place & ordered two pounds of chocolate mousse cake as a gift from me to them ( yeah my brother had been hinting to us that he wanted that particular cake since ages ago!). As I got home, I hid the cake in my parent’s room, on the floor beside their bed, so my brother won’t see it just in case if he enters the room.

Few hours later, when all of them were hanging out in my room, my elder sister lit the candles and brought the cakes to them. After we finished singing the happy birthday song, my brother spoilt the surprised & smiley said, “I knew about the cake all along. I saw it in mama’s room when I was getting my things. Bad hiding spot guys. Plus Babah did a terrible job guarding the cake.” Haha.

And btw...

Happy Birthday to ZaiZai (Vic Zhou) too!! :D He was my all time favourite from F4, but apparently now Chun is taking his spot =p

Oh yeah, currently UEFA Euro 2008 football fever is on and Enrique Iglesias's song "Can you hear me?" has been chosen as their official song for the football tournament. Hope you u guys enjoy his song that i uploaded. *sigh* spanish guys are smoking hot..

*drools over sexy enrique* =p~~~~~~~

A rainy day...

Hi everyone 大家好...

Today's weather 今天天气 just make you wanna curled up in the comforter and lay in bed all day 很不想起床... better yet if that someone special 理想情人 is there to hug you 拥抱着你 and keep you warm 给你温度... And in that moment you wish time will stop ticking 好希望时间停留 but yet time will jolt you back to reality every so often...

Sorry 对不起 about that (hehehe...), it's the weather and I'm feeling quite mellow (hehehe...). Today is another one of the monotonous days in my life 很闷得一天. Started the day with 6.35km jog/walk for an hour in the gym 健身房. Uggh~ I'm slacking (lazy bum! 懒惰虫). Didn't do any other workout today (lazy bum bum! 超懒耶) and went home instead.

Went to UBD at around 2pm and found the volunteers of the recent Field Ecology course in Patoi pooling small mammals data 小动物知料 in the Biology Ground Lab. I don't remember doing such pooling of data when I volunteered last year. It was only later that I found out their names 名字 will be published in an upcoming journal paper on the small mammals of Brunei! How cool is that?! I'm so jealous 我好嫉妒哦!! And not only that, they actually caught a horse-tailed squirrel, Sundasciurus hippurus, during the last day of trapping! But their workload was hectic, there were a total of 11 transect lines to re-bait everyday! Well done you guys *clapping* well done 做的好!

I've downloaded 下载了 two new games 两个新游戏 recently, 'Real Estate Empire' and 'Magic Farm'. 'Real Estate Empire' sucks! I wonder why it's even called a game, it's nothing like a game 根本不是游西吗! 'Magic Farm' is quite interesting 很有趣, which I've been playing it before writing this post (hehehe...). You plant and take care of flowers 花儿 and fruits 水果 which you'll sell in order to collect enough money to make the trip in search of your parents. A lot of clicking is involved in this game and those who love their mouse, think twice before playing (hehehe...).

My eyes are so heavy now 好想睡哦 and I think I'll call it a night. Miladies, you girls up for 'jalan-jalan' tomorrow? (hehehe...)

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安... Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

你一言一语,我牢记在心。。。
(Every word you say engraves in my mind...)

Wedding ceremony...

Hi everyone 大家好...

I slept at 4am this morning because I was in Taiwan 台湾 with Mike He 贺军翔 and Rainie Yang 杨丞琳 (hahaha...I wish!). Set my alarm 闹钟 at 8am (planning to continue cleaning my room 想收拾房间) but was woken up by the ringing of my phone 被手机吵醒 instead. It was already 11am *yikes*. It was my *ehem*, he wanted me to accompany him 陪他 to a wedding ceremony 结婚典礼. Got into the shower, got dressed, dried my hair and painted my face. I must say I'm getting pretty rusty in this. Ugghh~~ I don't remember the last time I wore make-up 很久没化妆了, must've been ages ago (hahaha...) I hope I didn't look like a freak 希望不像魔鬼吧!

And there I was sitting in the Berkshire Hall of Jerudong Polo Club attending the wedding ceremony of a couple that I've never met before in my life. It was only later that I found out the bride was actually a staff of UBD, Assistant Registrar of some Faculty if I'm not mistaken. The bridegroom is an education officer in some school and had just recently converted to a Muslim. Although I do not personally know the newly wed, here's a little something for them:

"Today is a day you will always remember.
The greatest in anyone's life.
You'll start the day just two people in love
and end as husband and wife."

Congratulations and warm wishes to both of you on your wedding day.

Went to Giant Hypermart after the wedding ceremony. Guess who I met? Our most faithful reader, Noy! (hehehe...) It was nice seeing you Noy. Went back home 回家 and was practically life-less after that. I fell asleep 睡着了 in my make-up, too tired to even bother removing it. I went out again 又出去 at about 6pm with my *ehem*. I was looking for empty boxes 空盒子 and then it started to rain 下雨了, and the piles of boxes behind those department stores became a pile of wet icky pulp. Yuck! So much for my box-hunting.

Not a very productive day *sigh*... Missed gym session today, didn't clean my room as planned, didn't get any empty boxes, didn't even touch the cross-stitch project for days now *sigh*... Well tomorrow is a new day 新的一天, a new week 新的一周, hope I'll get these things done (hehehe...) How was your weekend girls? I missed hanging out with you all 好想念你们...

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安...Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

每次我閉上雙眼 ,只想到你對我微笑的臉。。。
(Everytime I close my eyes, and there I see your smiling face...)

Achilles tang

I recently found out that 'Meha' is a common name for Acanthurus achilles (in Tahiti).

Yes, people.. I am a fish.

Noy told me that it doesn't look a bit like me.

But, I think we kinda share the same type of mouth. Munjung nya sama kan Cath?? :p

Hehe

Lame, I know..

I don't feel too good really. Just wanna clear things out of my mind.

My first visit to Hua Ho Tutong...

Hi everyone 大家好...

I woke up super early this morning and went to the gym before 8am. Started my workout with the usual jog/walk. Did 6.36km in an hour, I wanted to do another session for the next hour to make it up for yesterday, but then laziness 懒 came over *sigh*. So instead, I did sit-ups and weigh-lifting for my huge flabby arms 手臂 as well as to tone my back 背后 and shoulders 肩部. Really wanted to step up onto the treadmill again for another hour of jog/walk session...hesitated...

Looked out the window 窗, went to the locker, got my things 东西, changed into my swim suit 游泳衣 and jump into the pool instead! (hahaha...) And it was raining 下雨! Swimming 游泳 in the rain is much better than in the sun! Well unless you want the tan... (hehehe...) After not sure how many laps (I lost count, hehehe...), the rain was letting up and the birds were coming out 鸟儿出来了. It was so relaxing 好轻松 to just float on the water watching the swifts and finches flying pass as well as listening to the melodies of the Magpie robins. I wish I had a binoculars during that time so I can see the features of the birds better. Went for sauna after that and I think I fell asleep 睡着了 in there again! (hahaha...)

My *ehem* picked me up at about 12:30pm and we went to Tutong to run some errands for the upcoming PSK (Pesta Sukan Kebangsaan) event. Quite a lot of sports are included in this huge event and of course we are under Taekwondo 跆拳道,태권도. But I will not be attending this event because it coincides with the Lanjak-Entimau Scientific Expedition. I'll be missing lots of sparring matches *sniff*. Went to Hua Ho Department Store for our first time 第一次 *sakai* and it was practically deserted except for the staffs. The place was actually quite nice and comfy 很舒服. Saw a lot of nice things 美美的东西 that I wanted to purchase 很想买 but I tried my best to refrain from doing so. Because I often end up spending all my money on things that I do not need instead of things that I really do need. Waste of money 很花钱 isn't it? But then, isn't that just the nature of us ladies 女人吗...? (hehehe...)

We went to Jerudong beach 海边 at about 9.30pm before he sent me back home. The tide 浪潮 was so low! I think it was the lowest tide I'd ever seen in my life. We saw cars driving on the beach where it is usually covered by the sea. We also saw fishing boats standing completely on sand instead of floating on water! It makes me wanna just run on the beach and play 很想玩! Crazy 白痴是不是? (hahaha...) Reached home at about 10.30pm and I cleaned my room 收拾房间, part of my room (hehehe...), vacuumed the floor (no, I don't have a maid), tidied up my desk and set aside the waste papers that need to be recycled. Wheeew... I still have my wardrobe and dressing table to tidy up. Uggh... Maybe tomorrow (hehehe...). Went for my midnight shower and started this post.

I think I wanna do my nails now. I haven't use any of the nail polish I bought the other day. What color shall it be this time? Purple? Pink? Cream? Any suggestions?

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安...Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

I can COOK!!

Hi everyone 大家好...

I apologize 对不起 for my missing in action (hehehe...) but I have a pretty good reason 原因 for it. I've been busy cooking appetizers 开胃食品 to breakfast 早餐 to lunch 午餐 to dinner 晚安 to desserts 甜品...from egg rolls to pancakes to teriyaki to spinach ravioli...(Yummy~~好好吃) And every one of the dish I cooked had been graded A! I've even taken the cooking exams! How cool is that? I never knew that I had it in me to cook such perfect dishes. Hahaha... I can imagine Hanie's and Meha's faces right now! They must be like : 'Banarkan anak ani??? Pandai tia karang ia masak!' Yes miladies! I can cook but only when I'm in the 'Cooking Academy'. This game 游戏 is SUPERB 超好玩的耶! It is so addictive and so cute~ I was playing it last night and without realizing, it was already 3am! *game freak* (hehehehe...) I know it's embarrassing but yes, I admit I cannot cook in the real world! *erm..hehe...*

Another game that I've been playing is 'Jojo's Fashion Show'. This is another SUPERB game! I played it through from the start until the end 重头到尾 without even quiting once! I just couldn't stop 不能停! (hahaha...) This game is so cool~ Categories of attire 服装 ranges from Winter 冬天 to Summer 夏天 to Racy to Modest to Business to Bridal to Hip-Hop and even Punk! You can also play dress up and change the features of the models and take pictures of them. These pictures will be saved in your documents! Cool eh? The other two game I told you about earlier ('Little Farm' and 'My Farm'), don't even download 不要下载 those! Horrible and not even a bit fun 一点都不好玩! I deleted it straight away!

Yesterday 昨天 was just one of the monotonous days in my not so exciting or adventurous life. Went to the gym 建身房 as usual and did 6.48km in an hour. Did weigh-lifting (leg extension and leg curl) for my elephant thighs 大象腿! Went up onto the FitStepII and was already panting before 10minutes of the workout! This equipment is perfect for climbers. It really works on stamina and the thigh muscles! I think I should use this equipment more often instead. (hehehe...)

Woke up at 12noon today and the first thing I did was cook 下厨! erm... in 'Cooking Academy' (hehehe...) Well until my mum 妈妈 came into my room and nagged me to stop playing. She wanted me to accompany her for lunch 午餐 and to do some shopping 诳街, more like chauffeuring her around Kiulap and Batu Satu (hahaha..) Went back home at about 4:30pm. I should have woken up earlier today so I can go to the gym. Oh well~ It was nice spending time with mum once in awhile.

My *ehem* picked me up at 6pm and we went for Taekwondo 跆拳道 training in Menglait Sports Complex. Usually we train in the hall of the female hostel in UBD every Tuesdays 星期二, Wednesdays 星期三 and Fridays 星期五, but since it's the long vacation so we only train once a week now. And my kicks are way off! *Waaaa...* Probably because it's been so long since the last training session. We did Poomsae 품새 1-8 (patterns) just now and my God, I can't remember most of the Poomsae! Haiyo! Well~ I'm not a fan of Poomsae anyways (hehehe...) I prefer doing kicking drills and sparring 겨루기! Woacha!!

At about 9pm, we finished our training. Then, we went to UBD Faculty of Science because the supplementary list is out! I was so nervous 好紧张哦! It was so creepy 恐怖 and dark 黑暗! Not even a single light was on and it's a moon-less night 没月亮. Not a single soul was there in the parking lot. Thank God we had the large headlights of the Ford Ranger! (hehehe...) He then accompany me to the foyer and I scanned through the list of registration numbers and can barely make out the numbers. Focusing my best on the list under B.Sc. Biological Science Year 3 over and over again and again and again....Wheeww....My registration number is not there! Yay!! But then it can only mean two things: either Pass or Fail... *shivers* I hope I can sleep tight tonight, I'm so worry 很担心 about my results. *sigh*

I guess I'll stop here. I missed gym today and I plan to make it up tomorrow (hehehe...) Take care all of you 大家保重...

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安...Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

P.S: Meha, beranak sendiri...I know you can do it! I'll be your obstetrician! (hahahahaha...) Lagi cute kalau babymu... Cute macam mamanya...(hehehehe....)

Hot

11 more days to Lanjak-Entimau Scientific Expedition...

Hi everyone 大家好...

11 more days to the huge Scientific Expedition, and I still don't think I'm fit enough. Oh boy~~ *sigh* Time is running out 没有时间了! Went to the gym at about 1pm and jog/walk for 6.14 km for an hour, better performance than yesterday (Yay!) but is still pathetic to some people (hahaha...). Did sit-ups and some weight-lifting. Went for a sauna after that, I think I stayed in the sauna for more than 15 minutes because I think I fell asleep 睡着了 in there! (hahahaha...)

Went out with *ehem* and did some shopping 诳街 in Jaya Hypermart. On the way there, I was reading today's Borneo Bulletin. The headline was '100 percent of DVD/VCD here are pirated' and an article about measures to be taken regarding piracy in Brunei 汶莱. I cannot imagine 不能想像 how life in Brunei would be without pirated DVDs, can you? Flipping through, I was checking what's playing in the cinema 电影院. I'm waiting for 'Kung Fu Panda' 功夫熊猫! Then I saw Hasanah's face on the paper! Congratulations 恭喜你 for being chosen Hasi! Wish you all the best in Japan 日本! Later, we went to Kiulap and I got an MP3 player! The fake iPod Shuffle! (hahaha...) and guess what color is it? (hehehe...)

I downloaded 下载 a new game, 'Dairy Dash' quite similar to 'Diner Dash' and even Flo is in it! Flo orders the farm products for her restaurants 餐厅! Initially I find it quite boring 有点闷...but then it became more and more challenging! I couldn't tear myself away from it because I'm an expert score freak, every levels must have an expert score or else I'll start the level again! (hahahaha...) How come I don't have such motivation for the exams instead?!?! *sigh* I've also downloaded 'Little Farm' and 'My Farm' but haven't start playing those. (hehehe...)

Ok people I'm going back to 'Dairy Dash' (hehehe...) Take care all of you 大家保重!

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安...Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

P.S: Have anyone watched Indiana Jones 4? How was it?

Trip to Bukit Patoi '08

Sorry for the lack updates from me guys! :D I was too tired to post anything last night after our trip to Bukit Patoi. Hehe

I couldn’t get any sleep few hours before the trip to Bukit Patoi, because I was so used to stay up late everyday and since then I didn’t managed to get my clock pattern right in time. But thankfully, even with lack of sleep, I enjoyed the entire trip with migraine or sleepy-free :D

Cath & Syidah picked me up at home exactly at 7. As I got into the car, I told them I prepared sandwich tuna for lunch (as usual, any kind of trips that we have, I always make sandwich tuna because its simple bah hehe). Cath brought Mee Hoon with tom yam flavour with lots of prawns & Japanese-like sort of fishballs that her mom made it for the three of us (Cath, please do tell your mom, that her mee hoon is very sedap one & make one for me again ah but this time more spicy! :D) Meanwhile Syidah brought Jambu Air for desserts but with no mouth watering - sambui to dip with this time :( (whats the English name for Jambu air again? I forgot wheheheh)

the tickets that we paid for the boat rides to Temburong

We arrived in Bandar 5 mins later & parked the car in Kianggeh near the Jetty. Ms Ang was already there waiting for us. So we paid for the boat rides, which cost $6 per head for one way to Temburong. So each of us paid $12 which include return fee as well. It took about less than 40 mins to get us to Bangar (Temburong’s town). At first the boat ride was kinda okay since the water was calm, but once it got bumpy as hit the small waves, I started to get sea sick :s But yeah, a big round of applause to me because I managed to get off the boat at the end of the ride without puking at all :D

Jetty in Bangar town

So we arrived in the Temburong town at 8am, then Ms Ang told me to call Dr Charles, so I dialed his number & handed my phone to her. (He is one of the lecturers in charged with the field ecology course for the first year students. His part for the course is mainly about mammal trappings. Plus he’s been in UBD for ages already even before I was born yet!). Ms Ang, “Old Man, where are you?! We already arrived in Bangar, so are you coming to pick us up or what?” Then Cath spotted Dr charles hiding behind a building column as she mentioned in her post. He chose a bad hiding spot, because the width of the column wasn’t wide enough to hide his big belly! LOL. Before heading to Bukit Patoi, Dr Charles treated us some tea in one of the local restaurants and we saw Dr Lane enjoying his roti canai & we greeted him. Then we went to the rest house where the lecturers are staying, to pick up Prof. Mohammed & went to Bukit Patoi by bus.

There were number of stairs the helped us through the entire trekking as the slopes were very steep & this was one of them

As we got there, only me, Syidah & Cath climbed up while Dr Charles stayed behind as he was doing some bird watching to list down what kind of birds species were found there. Ms Ang followed us for awhile but then stopped at the resting point as she prepared things for the mammal trapping demonstration that the juniors caught at that day. Meanwhile, Prof Mohammed walked very slow as he was analyzing the trees, the plants and other kinds of floras found there.

I was the slowest & the least fit among the three of us!! Haha Cath & Syidah were already ahead of me & few minutes later they disappeared out of sight. I stopped a lot to catch up my breath, but hey at least I didn’t give up! :D So I bravely walked alone in the forest & prayed silently I won’t get lost or meet any dangerous animals like snakes or wild bore and even white figure woman with long hair & ugly hideous face... Haha what was I thinking at that time?!! LOL

Batu Berdinding

me, cath & syidah

Eventually about 30 mins later, I managed to catch up Cath & Syidah, then we travelled together. Once we reached a hut, we rested for awhile & took pictures. Then we left our bags there as we continued climbing up to the summit. Honestly, I found it was easy to climb starting from the hut to the summit but then it was hard to climb down because the slope was very steep with lots of slippery bulky rocks covered with green mosses. I even twisted my right foot :S

View from the summit, at the top of Bukit Patoi

Bau tergangam

After enjoying the summit view, we walked down until to the point where Ms Ang & the juniors were resting & gathered. The volunteers were there too & Metis who was one of them showed us his arm which was badly bitten by mosquitoes!! Oh yes, when you’re doing mammal trapping, you aren’t allow to put any kinds of insect repellent on your skin or clothes through out the entire day. Because when you’re handling the traps, it might leave smells or odors of the chemicals on the traps & the mammals tend to have high sensitivity on smelling on these even from metres away!!! Bon & Kelly were also one of the volunteers. Kelly was giddy as usual while Bon didn’t look as cheerful as he was when his gf was around. I bet he misses Zyana a lot! Haha so kesian :D

the looks on Bon's face after I mentioned Zyana's name :D

Ms Ang was busy identifying & explaining the mammals caught to the juniors

Then we went back to the base again & rested in the hut along with the lecturers & juniors while waiting for the buses to arrive. Dr Charles looked like Gandalf from LOTR with his walking stick and he was very goofy yesterday. Haha. We had a lot of funs joking with him & Ms Ang & we took pictures too.

So that's it from me today guys :)
cheers!

PS: Once i got back home, i showered & sleep. My leg calves hurts like a real b*tch!! and i walk like a dead zombie! =p

Bukit Patoi...we meet again...

Hi everyone 大家好...

Woke up at 5:30am this morning, showered and got ready for Temburong! I was so excited! Syidah picked me up at around 6:30am and we went to pick up Hanie and off we went to the jetty in Bandar. As we were paying for the boat trip at the counter, we saw Ms. Ang B.B., our super-super-super.......... senior who is currently doing her PhD in UBD, and the four of us took off for Bangar.

We shared the boat with few other passengers, some dressed for work, some dressed quite casually and quite a lot of boxes which looks like groceries (does it rhyme? hehehe...). The boat ride was enjoyable and quite relaxing 好轻松. The roar of the boat engine, the strong breeze blowing on your face, the smell of the brackish water, the views of mangroves and palms, the occasional pass-by of another boat, the up-and-down bumps of the boat...

Halfway through the boat trip, Syidah and I diverted our attention to the boat driver instead. Then we were like: 'I wonder how does it feel to drive a boat... It looks like fun!' (hahaha...) Eventually we docked at the Bangar jetty and Ms. Ang called up Dr. Charles asking him where he is. Guess what, I saw Dr. Charles snickering on the phone hiding behind a building column opposite the jetty! We then went for tea 喝茶 (Thanks 谢谢 Dr. Charles for the treat) at one of the coffee shops 咖啡店 which was fully packed with regulars. And how do I know they are regulars? Because all of them just stared at us when we walk in the shop! In Temburong, everyone knows everyone!

Took a mini bus from Bangar town to Bukit Patoi and we started our journey to the summit 顶点. I have to admit I found myself less physically fit compared to the last 2 years! Must be too heavy 太重了! I must really hit the gym hard from now! (hahaha...) Syidah, on the other hand and with no surprise, was zipping through the forest trail like a pro and went out of sight in a blink of an eye 一眼就不见了. Finally we manage to arrived at the hut (about 1200m) just after Batu Bedinding which is a magnificent piece of rocky wall 石牆. The first thought running through my head when I saw the hut was of all the memories 回忆 we had there for the past 2 years. This very hut had been the most important checkpoint as it is where we start going off into the forest to set up traps. This year, those doing their Field Ecology 1 course are not trapping from this checkpoint, instead they start setting up traps from the base of the hill.

We sat in the hut for a rest 休息 and took some pictures before taking off to the summit which is about 200m further in. Along the trail, Hanie spotted a peculiar looking frog 青蛙 on the forest floor. It has the color of skin and was sort of translucent and has this hourglass mark on its dorsal side. We took pictures 照片 of it but we couldn't identify what species or genus it is. Will let you know after consulting the expert on frogs, Dr. Ulmar Grafe.

The scenery 风景 on the summit was breath-taking! You can see the vast green forest and the blue sky merging at the horizon, the long winding road to Lawas and tiny specks of colors in the vast green sea which are actually rooftops of houses. It was just amazing 好漂亮,好出色! We didn't stay at the summit quite long because the sun was blazing 超热耶! I was soaked thoroughly with sweat! And yes, I know I stink! (hahaha...) After taking pictures, we made our way back and saw this lizard halfway, probably from the family Agamidae, on a tree trunk. Initially we thought it was a rat! I've seen these quite a few times before but I couldn't remember the name. Sorry 对不起. (hehehe...)

We stopped at the checkpoint where Ms. Ang and the juniors had gathered for the marking and identifying of the small mammals caught today. There were Tupaia picta (Painted treeshrew), Tupaia tana (Large treeshrew), Leopoldamys sabanus (Long-tailed Giant Rat) as well as Maxomys rajah. Fantastic isn't it? These animals are identified, marked, weight and then released.

Rested quite a while in the hut at the base while waiting for our transport back to Bangar town. Had our lunch 午餐 there and took pictures 拍照片 with the volunteers. Our transport arrived at around 1:30pm and we left Bukit Patoi. We then made another boat trip back to Bandar town at about 2:40pm. Once again, breezing through the 'teh-tarik' colored river. This time around, there were quite a lot of passengers in the boat. And there was this really really cute and chubby baby boy 小宝宝 with big round eyes 大大的眼睛 in his mummy's arms! So cute 好可爱耶 ~~

After sending Hanie back home, Syidah dropped by Easyway and grabbed us both a pearl milk tea 珍珠奶茶. It was instantly refreshing because it was so hot outside. Thanks so much 谢谢 for the treat Syidah! I came home and the first thing I did was take a bath 洗澡! Then I went out with my *ehem* and came back home around 7:30pm. Played 'Zen Fashion' for a couple of hours and started this post and voilà!

Bukit Patoi...see you next year 明年再见...hopefully!

Good night everyone 大家晚安... Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

P.S: Sorry 对不起 for not posting any pictures regarding the trip, camera's memory card currently not working. Hanie will post those pictures here.

在某人的眼睛 (In someone's eyes...)

PDA

Public Display of Affection.

I googled it and found a definition in Wikipedia.

"A public display of affection (PDA) is the physical demonstration of affection for another person while in the view of others. For example, holding hands or kissing in public are commonly called public displays of affection."

Personally, I think PDA also includes calling each other's nicknames (e.g. Baby, Sayang, Ayang, etc), and telling them how much they love each other at every chance they got.

It's sweet, but don't you think that it would be much sweeter if you do it in somewhere private? Intimacy among couples is quite personal, and I don't think the rest of the world needs to know about your showing of 'affection' towards the one you like/love.

In Brunei, kissing in public is rare, but it does occur (don't ask me where). It just sickens me that PDA is everywhere. Holding hands among school kids, hugging each other tightly infront of the public..

Brunei is a muslim country after all..

I mean, it just doesn't feel right when you do it in public. I, myself, feel uncomfortable upon seeing such instances when there are older people around. I don't really care what you do or don't do with your partner behind closed doors or whatever. That is your personal life. It's just that... It doesn't hurt to be prudent and respect other people in your surrounding.

It's just my opinion though.. So, I'm sorry if I offended anyone. :p

Traffic Jam!!

Hi everyone 大家好...

This morning I woke up an hour earlier before the alarm rings! How's that? Well many may not consider 9.30am as early though...(hehehe...) First thing I did was get out of bed, put on my glasses and click on the 'Posh Boutique' icon on my laptop. This game is so addictive 好上瘾! Couldn't stop playing it! Although the fashion in this game isn't exactly nice...but the game is SUPERB 超好玩的耶!!

Trying my best to quit the game, I went for a shower 洗澡 and got ready to hit the gym 建身房. Feeling sluggish but was able to successfully pushed for a 5km jog/walk for an hour, all for the sake of the Expedition in Sibu later in the month. We were being told that the place consists of 'hilly terrain' *faints 昏倒了* but nevertheless there's no way I'm backing down from this Expedition! (hehehehe...) Did some weight lifting and sit-ups as well. After all that, I went for a 15 minutes sauna...it was so relaxing and I was all alone! (hehehe...)

Then, I drove to Kiulap planning to get my brows done 修眉毛 and I was surprise to see the amount of traffic at that hour! There were long queues everywhere and it was only 3pm! Is it a holiday today? Or is it because of 'gaji'? In the end, I didn't get my brows done because the beautician 美容师 was not available today *sigh* and after all the driving and queuing. Oh well~

Went home and continue playing 'Posh Boutique' and 'Pastry Passion'. 'Pasty Passion' is a game that'll make you go all hungry especially those with sweet tooth. It's another SUPERB game as well, amazing graphics and colours I must say.

Mum 妈妈 was surprised to see me at home today because usually I'll be out with my other half 我的理想情人 (hehehe...) I didn't go out today because I was cross-stitching!! Can't wait to see how it'll be like when done!

I'll have to stop here because I need to get to bed early 要早睡, that is, if 'Pastry Passion' isn't keeping me up (hehehe...) Tomorrow 明天, I'll be going to Temburong by boat with Hanie and Syidah!! (Yay....) The boat ride to Bangar...the mangroves flanking on the riverside...the heat of the forest...the screech of the hornbills...the buzz of the mosquitoes...the smell of leaf litter...the wonder of nature...O how I miss Patoi...

Goodnight everyone 大家晚安...Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

P.S: Thanks to everyone 谢谢大家 who has been so supportive...you know who you are. It meant a lot to me...

我爱大自然 (I love Nature...)

Transition from May to June...

Hi everyone (大家好)...

First of all, Meh, MIKE HE (贺军翔) is MINE!! Hahahahaha...

I was planning to post something yesterday but was too tired and I'm still not getting use to blogging...I'm still hesitating whether I should continue blogging or not...Somehow I feel I'm not good in this...*sigh*

Yesterday, I came back to BSB from Seria with my cousins. They wanted to go shopping in BSB and wanted me to come along. Initially I hesitated but then since my other half (我的理想情人)was out of town, I agreed. And it was actually quite fun to hang out with my cousins after quite sometime. We went to the factory at Muara where they are currently selling overstock garments, the garments which we usually see in those 'Made In Brunei' shops with price tags in sterling pounds. Prices of garments ranging from $1 to $10 and I must say the quality of the garments are quite good, mostly cotton, very comfy and most importantly affordable (hahaha...)

Later we went to the Mall (where else? hehe...) and there was a computer expo going on (what else? hehe...) as well as promotions by TelBru and B-mobile as well as some booth selling 'kain and ipin-ipin'. Went upstairs to FaceShop and spent quite a while there, mostly because my cousins were looking for face care products and she had her 20% birthday discount. I on the other hand was trying all shades of nail polish (指甲油) and lip gloss (唇膏)(hahahah...). And one of my younger cousin brother (弟弟) whom was tagging along said: "If only this is a shoe shop (鞋店), there will be chairs for me to sit!" (Kasian...)

At the end of the day... I had gotten myself some garments, a PINK trousers (I know....since when right?), a white and PINK optical mouse (and it comes with a matching pouch! Cute~~好可爱耶), some nail polish, a bottle of hand lotion and an 'after-diet-and-success' wallet (broke~~) 皮包减肥.

Today, I woke up at 10.30am!! I set my alarm at 7.30am but it didn't ring or...it did? First thought was that the juniors and volunteers are now in Temburong attending the Field Ecology course...How I wish I was in the boat going off to Temburong and Patoi again this year...that'll be 3 years consecutively (hahaha...) Maybe it's really time to take a break (只好休息) from Patoi...

Went to do some grocery shopping with *ehem* and this girl wearing a white jacket was staring at the floor and walking past me...That familiar face...the face that I share in so many pictures...the face that had permanently engraved in my mind...MEHA!!! (Hahahahahha...)

Went home at about 6pm and was surprise to see my Dad (爸爸) home (he had been busy offshore for quite sometime), you can't imagine how giddy I was!! We went to this Chinese restaurant (四海厅) in Batu Besurat (sp?) and had dinner (晚餐) there. The food was okay but a bit salty...

Started a cross-stitch project today (a free kit) from a back-issue of 'The World of Cross Stitching'. Will upload the pictures when done...hopefully... Also downloaded a couple of new PC games (new mouse for new games... heheheheh)

I think I'll stop here...before I make everyone sleep with my nonsense (非话)...hehehe...Sorry (对不起) for such a long post...Will try to make shorter posts next time...

Goodnight everyone (大家晚安)... Sleep tight and sweet dreams...

P.S: I apologize if this post is too boring or any grammar mistakes and welcome any comments.

只想爱你 (Just wanna love you...)

Why Why Love

I just finished watching episode 6 of 換換愛.

I kinda like Kingone sini.. Pasal arah Devil Beside You ia inda berapa handsome. :p But I still love Mike He~ :L He's mine Cath!! :Z

I went to buy chocolates (cravings bah) tadi in SKH. The kadai was packed as usual and I wasn't really looking at people.

Suddenly, I was slapped on the arm.

A chinese girl in white appeared before me.

It was Cath.

Hahahahaha :p Marah lagi ia tu because I didn't see her. Capi! Anyways, I was with my lil' sister tadi. And she was surprised as well. By Cath slapping my arm... and by Cath's fluent Brunei Malay~ Hahaha

Hi to everyone btw~ :D

Happy 22nd Birthday Jon!!

Jonathan Wong Shii, saeng il chukha hamnida!!!

For those who don’t understand Korean, it means a very happy birthday to dearest Jonathan!

I remember during our first field ecology trip in Bukit Patoi, we all sang Happy Birthday song to dear Jon in the speedboat while waiting to arrive in Temburong.
