PDA

Public Display of Affection.

I googled it and found a definition in Wikipedia.

"A public display of affection (PDA) is the physical demonstration of affection for another person while in the view of others. For example, holding hands or kissing in public are commonly called public displays of affection."

Personally, I think PDA also includes calling each other's nicknames (e.g. Baby, Sayang, Ayang, etc), and telling them how much they love each other at every chance they got.

It's sweet, but don't you think that it would be much sweeter if you do it in somewhere private? Intimacy among couples is quite personal, and I don't think the rest of the world needs to know about your showing of 'affection' towards the one you like/love.

In Brunei, kissing in public is rare, but it does occur (don't ask me where). It just sickens me that PDA is everywhere. Holding hands among school kids, hugging each other tightly infront of the public..

Brunei is a muslim country after all..

I mean, it just doesn't feel right when you do it in public. I, myself, feel uncomfortable upon seeing such instances when there are older people around. I don't really care what you do or don't do with your partner behind closed doors or whatever. That is your personal life. It's just that... It doesn't hurt to be prudent and respect other people in your surrounding.

It's just my opinion though.. So, I'm sorry if I offended anyone. :p
