Finally, UBD's exam results are out. Received my result via sms at around 11 a.m. I passed~ The grades are not good, but, I'm ok really.. Not much effort been done to ace the exams.. So, I don't have high expectations.. Hehe :) I asked Amai to check my grade and she also told me that most of my class got Ds.. And I got a D+ for my average grade. Huhu :p
Anyway, just wanna talk about Igo (囲碁) or Go (碁). In Korean it's called baduk (바둑) and in chinese, it's wéiqí (圍棋; 围棋). It's an ancient board game originated from China (Wikipedia, 2008). Whoa!! I just knew that! Hehe :) I thought it's a pure Japanese game.. Hehe Why? Because I watched Hikaru No Go.. It's an anime about playing Go with a ghost. Hahaha Sounds weird when I say it like that.. :p I don't really know about game though, but my siblings tried learning to play the game.. especially via the internet.
My sister, Gdah, joined the Go Club in Maktab Duli. And just before the school holidays, she told me about this Igo tournament - the first Igo Youth League. How cool is that?? Hehe :) The tournament is held from 17th til 24th June 2008. It's organised by the Igo Society and the CHMS Alumni Association Weiqi Society. The participants are to play in teams of four.. The champion will get cash prize of $150, and medals for top 3 teams. The others will receive certificates for participation. :) And I think, it's open to public if anyone's interested to see them play. The venue is in the multipurpose hall 3rd floor of CHMS Alumni Association, and time: 10 30 - 18 00.
Want pictures? :D
My sister's board - she lost against her senior :p
Walaupun kalah, tetap senyum~ That's Gdah there.. Huhu
The one in purple is the founder of the Go Club and Igo Society in Brunei. Props to him~ :)
