BMC :D

Okay, i guess its my turn to update now =D

The last few months, I've been busy being a batwoman for my final year project & finishing up my thesis so i can handed it on time.
Then it was exam weeks & it wasnt easy, let just hope i pass all my papers :s amin.

And yesterday, i just had my presentation. the first presenter lagi tu eh! i gave a crappy one, because i was so nervous to present infront the audience & at the same time i was very eager to get over with it.
But hey, i'm glad the misery is already OVER now! =D hehe
Finally, i'm free for movies & tv series marathons :)

Anyhoos, I love to eat buttermilk chicken & so do my other half's ;)
I've been wanting to learn how to cook it since last year, but now barutah ada chance kan belajar masak.. hehe.
So i decided to give it a try & wa~la~!!!!

It was a success.
it tasted just like the buttermilk chicken that u order in t.k or any other restaurants =D

I let my bf to be the 1st person to try my homemade buttermilk chicken.
He loves it and...



He even offered himself to wash the dishes after eating =p

Seminar

As promised, I uploaded some of the pictures I took this morning during the seminar. But due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn't attend the afternoon session. So, no pictures for the afternoon presenters. Sorry~ :p

Hanie started the morning off with her bats :)


Then some girl made some claims about doing all her work on her own


Our Nemo talked about his water striders, skaters and the like :)


Catherine finally resolved the issue of doing the work together - not as implied earlier ;p


Then our Aywen brightened up everyone's moods with his usual antics, mistletoes... and a podium :)


Sepol a.k.a. No-more-McMessy then talked about hooves, soil bacteria and antibiotics :)


주라 씨 showed us how much alcohol can be produced by Tapai :)


Qlah explained all about sea stars which can be found in Brunei :)


Mirul, the pirate, talked about Cubozoans and seasonality :)


Yana practically killed Bon with her deadly stare when he asked her about her woolly bats in pitcher plants ;p

Hehe That's my kind of summary of the morning's presentation. If you want to know more about their project, do drop a note and I'll let them know you asked.. :)

Am now back from a looooong hiatus. But don't expect regular updates from me. Go ask Hanie and Cath to contribute more in this blog. Hehehe

Finally...

Hello everyone 大家好...

I know I know~ FINALLY right?!?! I have to admit I've not been here for so loooooooong~ so sorry everyone~ my bad, my bad. I just found out my last post was like in October last year~ MY GOD!! After missing for so long, I guess it's only fair to summarize what I've been doing for the last 7 months~ :D so here goes:


November 2008 - I think this month was just a blur... Finishing off last minute assignments... revision week... studying for the exams... failed to concentrate... was playing games instead... exams... not my favourite month anyway~ hahahaha


December 2008 - O~ I remembered this! Exciting month! Attended Ornithology Workshop in Tasek Merimbun for a week~ It was fantastic working with the Museum people, setting up mist nets, learning about birds, the birds are just so amazing~ with their colours~ fantastic week!! :D



After that, it was back to small mammal trapping in Tutong. Managed to finish all trapping sample by the end of December! Hooray!!


January 2009 - Field Ecology II in Belalong. It was also fantastic!! O how I miss sipping coffee at the balcony chatting away with all of you crazy people! hahahaha~ Did a mini project on stream assessment in Sg. Apan... I don't want to imagine how things are over there now :( Here's my team members - that bunch of crazy lot :D with Dr. Ulmar~



And then, semester started and it turns blurry again *sigh* Attended Wan's birthday at Capers :D Thanks Wan for the treat! Happy Birthday!! Had a fantastic evening stuffing down pasta and pizza~ yummy~



February 2009 - Oh I didn't even realize I missed mentioning CNY in January~ hahahaha~ guess there wasn't much to celebrate with so much work to be done~ And it doesn't feel the same without grandma around~ it's just not the same~ I miss her so much *sniff* :'( Attended my cousin brother's huge birthday bash and snapping away with my new baby, Nikon D60!



Attended BB's birthday. Here's the birthday girl enjoying the magic show dedicated to her of course by Aman, the magician :D



Trip to BARC. Taken outside the labs with Hanie being vain and Meha being shy and Wan just being himself~ hahahahahahaha


The three of us wore tudong (a very rare occassion except for Meha) to lecture before the mid-semester break :D And Meha turned 24 on 7th February!!! kekekekekeke Happy Birthday girl!! Mwuah!



March 2009 - Lots of field work for the dissertation. Field trip to Pulau Selirong :D It has to be like the most amazing mangrove forest ever!! Hanie turned 24 too!! Happy Birthday girl! Mwuah!

April 2009 - Still lots of field work for the dissertation. Fantastic Aquatic Bio practicals offshore :D I think I've come to love Aquatic Biology!! It's fascinating! Many sleepless nights writing up dissertation. My new baby cousin brother turned 1 month old :D




May 2009 - Submitted dissertation :D :D :D Exams :S :S :S and then FREEDOM *waving hands in the air* hahahahaha~ and here I am!! Ta-daaa~ only 1000 pounds fatter!! hahahahaha
