Backkk!!

Hello internet beings!!

We just got back from Kuala Belalong yesterday afternoon from a 6 days field course. It was FUN! Tiring, but extremely fun!! A trip to remember~ I know Hanie has uploaded some pics on Facebook. Nantilah I posted up the link.

I'm a bit tired and feel dizzy today. I think kan damam ni menjangkit Tika, Qilah & Hanie.. So, no proper update for the time being.

Anyways, semester 2 of 08/09 will start tomorrow. Skulah~~

Sigh.. I need a vacation.....

Dear B. Sc. Biological Science Year 4 students,

Nada our reg. no. in the supplementary exam list. NO ONE. Get that? So we either pass or fail the papers.. The results should be out by the end of 2008. Well, according to Khairul lah.. So if salah info, jangan marah~ :p

And nya Hanie, the supplementary result was already out last Monday. Keahiran wah.. Hehe Bah agatah check to those yang alum tau ah.. :)

Overall, the hunt was extremely tiring and hard. We had fun jua lah.. Maybe will do it again next year. We'll see.. :)

Hanie's laptop is probably in the shop for repairs.

And oh, we finished our exams yesterday.. Cath, Hanie & I went out for lunch and talk, talk, talk and talk.. Hehe I haven't got pictures with me. They're all with Hanie as we took it using her Nokia. Unfortunately, Hanie's laptop crashed sometime last week.. So, she wouldn't be able to upload the pictures.

Regarding the Field Ecology 2.. Prof. Ulmar is in charge, so he wants all of us to submit our names so that he'll know how many are going. Oh, the dates.. Sikit lagi I terlupa~ :p It's going to be 5th - 10th January 2009. 1 week tu ah.. So, please tell the others, yeah..

And for all B Sc. Biological Science Year 4 students, Hanie texted me tadi about the option course for next semester. We must take either Herpetology or Genetics (?) pasal the Food Microbiology dulu atu inda kana kira. I don't know for sure pasal Rawi yang cakap. Better ask Dr. Charles lagi lah.

Hahahah :P Awu, exams coming about a week lagi.. Anyways, just wanna tell you girls yang rajin ke library to study atu.. Ni.. Ada notice..

Siap ada model lagi ni for my iklan.. Hahaha

To those yang inda tau, there was a 'flashing' incident in the library last week. According to a reliable resource, the victims were two girls.. And they were so freaked out that they cried.. The flasher was reported to be a dark, dark, big man.. Freaky..

Yatah ah, just be cautious saja time revision week ani..

Moving on.. I talked with the girls about selecting some random things or pictures for the 'favourite of the week' thing.. Gonna make it a weekly thing.. If Cath and Hanie rajin that is.. I'll try to do it weekly though.. So that the blog won't be so silent for a long, long time.. Hehehe

So, my fave picture of the week is this pic of my penguin keychain. Kata c-Nemo, macam terrorist saja.. Hanie cakap macam chef!! Hahahaha Yep, this was the result of being jobless during class.. Ada canon of pens lagi tu!!

I caught my very, very, very first bat!!! :D

Yesterday, i went off to my trapping site in a disturbed fragmented area near Berakas forest reserve with Salihah, Azman, Rawi & Aywen who happened to help me out setting up two harp traps and we left it overnight. The harp traps are used to catch any low-flying bat & they consist of a frame that supports 4 rows of fine line thread and a catching bag at the base. If a bat detects the first row and swerves to pass through, it collides with the second row and tumbles into the collecting bag.

The next day, Ikhwani accompanied me checking the traps. I was so excited & i couldnt wait to see what did i catch today. We checked the 1st harp trap: no bat was found. The same thing goes to the 2nd trap. sigh. i was pretty dissappointed. Then we moved the 2nd harp trap further up in the same trail as before. But as we carried the enomorous, heavy trap, Ikhwani noticed something moving, then a small bat came out hidding from the pocket side of the catching bag.

I was like WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~~!!! I caught myself a bat on my first trapping!!! wuhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooo~

Its a Cynopterus Brachyotis or commonly known as Lesser Short-nosed Fruit bat. Oh yes, its small & cute but then it makes this really annoying noises & it was pretty darn aggressive!!! We werent confident enough to touch the bat using our bare hands, so we used gloves instead. It tried to escape when we were trying to grab a hold of it & the thing surely bites anything that goes near to its mouth!!!!!

I'm surely looking forward for my next bats trapping adventure :D

To forgive & forget...

I may forgive, but I will never ever forget.

To forgive someone means that you have accepted the person's apologies.. It means that you are willing to give that someone a chance to make things right. It also means that you still have a heart and are willing to accept that someone to be with you.

To forget the things that that someone has done to you or to others, is quite hard. Personally, I cannot just forget the hurtful things that that someone had done or said to me. Even if it's just a little, minute silly thing which other people don't take it seriously.. But the little things mean the most, you see.. Especially if that someone is close to you.

I forgive but never forget. What I would do in such cases, is that I would try to move on and let things be.. As it was before.. Not entirely 'forget' the whole thing, but just move on with your life. What good is it if we were to wallow in our sadness and sorrow? What good is it if we were to plan on vengeful schemes to make a revenge on that particular someone?

Sigh..

Lastly, things which appear to the naked eye don't usually show the real, honest truth. Apa nya orang, "Don't judge a book by it's cover"..

A true friend values the meaning of friendship.
