Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri~
I would like to minta ampun and maaf for all my wrongdoings sepanjang ku kenal kamu. Biasalah.. Mulut ni selalu tersalah cakap, tersilap kata.. Well, I even said and did some bad things, intentionally, which I am not proud of. I know I'm wrong, but I cannot undo everything. I'm still human after all. Minta maaf lagi sekali.

Sigh.... Goodbye Ramadhan~ I'll miss you..

Ramadhan Greetings

It has been 19 days of fasting now.. and this blog is dying of neglect. :P

But I guess it's never too late to wish all of the Muslims a Happy Fasting Month~

Public terror

Hello~

I just got back from jalan2.. My mom dragged me to the indoor stadium.. Today's the final day for the Asean's Products. Yatah she brought me there. Thank god Nonong tagged along because I can't stand shopping for these kains, tudungs and stuff. Especially during these H1N1 commotions. So all I did was looking around.. and avoiding people who seems to be in an unhygienic conditions. You'd never believe what I saw..
Justify Full
There was this old man.. I noticed him because he was sniffling.. So he wiped his nose with his hands.... and then onto his pants.. Eww right?

Then there was this Indonesian guy.. apa kan tu namanya? Salesman? Heh :p Anyway, he was on the phone and it just happened that I was looking at his direction.. You know what he did? He was PICKING HIS NOSE!!! He could've touched all the kains and tudungs there!! I quickly told my sister and mom about it and took them away from him a.s.a.p.

Seriously.. Don't they read/watch the news??? Personal hygiene is important!! Especially at times like this.. But it's still icky.. In the public durang buat cematu.. *shivers*

And then, there were this young couple.. with their little children. They just let their daughter sit and squirm on the floor, which only God knows what was on it.. She could've touched her face, mouth, her little sister.. her parents.. *shrieks*

I am seriously freaking out. I am not going out again. Ever. :p

Panic & Fear

I submitted my thesis already. *yay* Tapi I felt that it's not good enough.. Oh well, I did my best. I hope I'll pass.. Amin~~

Anyway.. So kesian this blog.. Mana Hanie & Cath ni ahhh??

Well, I always see them online on Facebook, so they're probably busy playing quizzes and stuff. Hanie's the frequent updater on the H1N1 cases in Brunei. Gosh.. 93 cases already. Read here for more info... which brings me to this..

Yang penting for everyone masani is to avoid these activities and places:

  • Community gatherings
  • Shopping centers
  • Markets
  • Stalls
  • Restaurants
  • Cinemas
  • Swimming pools and the like

Personal hygiene is IMPORTANT!!

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water and dry them using disposable tissue or the like
  • Use alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers if there are no hand washing facilities
  • Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough and discard used tissue in the dustbin
  • Avoid from people who has influenza like symptoms
  • Avoid from going to crowded places

And last but not least, nya Minister of Health (source: Borneo Bulletin, 2nd July 2009):

"We don't have to live in fear and there is no need to panic. It's not necessary."

p/s Panic ku ni! Stay at home people! :p

Wahey

Fixed already! And a new simple layout.. If you girls wanna change, nanti lagi lah.. :)

To Hanie:
Please jangan pakai MS Word to buat your blog draft.. Ok? Easiest pakai Notepad saja..

Okay, I'm outta here! See you next week (I hope)!

Bintang Pekerti '09

Nuthing much happened today.

Woke up late as usual, around 11am.

Shower. Watch Zack & Miri make porno, cloverfield (which i found it sucks big time alot causing me to feel nausea) and few episodes of family guys from season 7.

Then at night, went to the Police's stadium to watch a friend of mine performed in a singing competition.

These are the police officers's wives entertaining the audience

Honestly, it was boring.
So during the entire show, I spent most of my time cam-whoring with my <3 family =")">

Me and my elder sister.
We don't exactly look-alike that much as siblings.
I have smaller eyes & darker skin tone =D

Me & my significant other <3>

L to R: My elder sis, younger sis and my mom

Our friend who was one of the singing competition's contestants

Guess who we met there? =D
My mom was a fan of him.
She even planned to have him to perform at my wedding one day!!!
=S

Then went to pasar malam at bandar for late night dinnerr.

She didn't get the top 3, but at least ada kana bagi sagu hati trophy right? ;)

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Hello everyone 大家好...

My Dad just turned 51 recently on 27th May. This year it sort of coincide with the Dragon Boat Festival 端午節 (28th May) where we eat dumplings wrapped in lotus leaves. As traditions veer towards modernization, people usually celebrate this festival just by having family dinner. My family and I went back to our hometown and I took the chance to celebrate my Dad's birthday :D with this very sinful Chocolate Royale Cheesecake from Mum's Bakery~ Yummy~ :P

!生日快乐!

Here's me and my Dad :D

Me, my Dad and my naughty little cousin sister

who seems to love the cake more than anyone else

and look what chocolate can do to a girl~ even a little girl~ :P such joy!

so boys~ us ladies are never to please :D

Goodnight peeps 晚安...

爸爸,我爱您。。。
I love you Daddy...

BIOCOP / Museum Day

Hello everyone 大家好...

Just when you think I'm going to disappear from this blog again, you guessed wrong! kekeke~ The event of this post actually took place on 18th May 2009 at our famous World Heritage Park, Tasek Merimbun. For more information on this event, click here and here.

Tasek Merimbun is located in the Tutong District and is famous for this big-ass dragonfly hanging from the ceiling!! kekekekekeke...

Okay seriously~ it's actually famous for this unique black water lake and of course the breath-taking view~ I'm sooo proud to be a Bruneian! :D

We weren't actually there for the real event though, we were actually there to set up photo exhibits and promoting BIOCOP. BIOCOP stands for Biodiversity Conservation Program which is under Brunei Nature Society (BNS). The photo exhibit consists of an amazing collection from numerous activities carried out by BIOCOP throughout the years. Activities include small mammal trappings, camera trappings, bird watching etc. led by Dr. Joseph Charles and Miss Ang Bee Biaw. And this was how the exhibit looked like :D

And apparently, this beautiful moth also decided to exhibit itself on the board!

While waiting for the guests to arrive for the exhibition, boredom sets in and this is what usually happens~ kekeke...

1. Making funny faces at the camera~

2. Playing with a moth on the floor~

3. And just flash pretty smiles!

And when people starts coming to look at the exhibits, there were no more time for funny faces and playing with moths. People asked about the pictures and the activities and we were there to answer of course :)

Rosli explaining what BIOCOP is all about~

Lin Ji doing the same~

Here, we have Mr. Samhan and the Singapore High Commissioner to Brunei, Mr. Joseph Koh, looking at our photo exhibit.

Here, Rosli bidding farewell to Mrs. Koh and other guests from Singapore who were very interested in our exhibit.

And lastly, before leaving, we took a group photo! We look good in our BIOCOP uniform right? hehehehe :D

I dedicate this picture to none other than my beloved Dr. Joseph Charles! "That's a yellow-vented bulbul!" When we arrived for the event in the morning, we were asked to park the car in this empty paking lot. And we came across this! The driver is either very late or the bird is still sleepy~

Goodnight peeps~ sweet dreams :D

BMC :D

Okay, i guess its my turn to update now =D

The last few months, I've been busy being a batwoman for my final year project & finishing up my thesis so i can handed it on time.
Then it was exam weeks & it wasnt easy, let just hope i pass all my papers :s amin.

And yesterday, i just had my presentation. the first presenter lagi tu eh! i gave a crappy one, because i was so nervous to present infront the audience & at the same time i was very eager to get over with it.
But hey, i'm glad the misery is already OVER now! =D hehe
Finally, i'm free for movies & tv series marathons :)

Anyhoos, I love to eat buttermilk chicken & so do my other half's ;)
I've been wanting to learn how to cook it since last year, but now barutah ada chance kan belajar masak.. hehe.
So i decided to give it a try & wa~la~!!!!

It was a success.
it tasted just like the buttermilk chicken that u order in t.k or any other restaurants =D

I let my bf to be the 1st person to try my homemade buttermilk chicken.
He loves it and...

He even offered himself to wash the dishes after eating =p

Sweet isn't he?
=D

Seminar

As promised, I uploaded some of the pictures I took this morning during the seminar. But due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn't attend the afternoon session. So, no pictures for the afternoon presenters. Sorry~ :p

Hanie started the morning off with her bats :)

Then some girl made some claims about doing all her work on her own

Our Nemo talked about his water striders, skaters and the like :)

Catherine finally resolved the issue of doing the work together - not as implied earlier ;p

Then our Aywen brightened up everyone's moods with his usual antics, mistletoes... and a podium :)

Sepol a.k.a. No-more-McMessy then talked about hooves, soil bacteria and antibiotics :)

주라 씨 showed us how much alcohol can be produced by Tapai :)

Qlah explained all about sea stars which can be found in Brunei :)

Mirul, the pirate, talked about Cubozoans and seasonality :)

Yana practically killed Bon with her deadly stare when he asked her about her woolly bats in pitcher plants ;p

Hehe That's my kind of summary of the morning's presentation. If you want to know more about their project, do drop a note and I'll let them know you asked.. :)

Tomorrow's the continuation of this year's seminar, so if you wanna come and see, just go to FOS - room FSM1.12.

Cheers!
